An Activist Music Classroom
Kim Friesen Wiens is a music specialist with Edmonton Public Schools. She has taught for over twenty years. Currently she is working on her PhD at the University of Alberta. Kim is also the music representative for the ATA Fine Arts Council and serves as editor of A Fine Facta, which is the Fine Arts Council's journal. Kim is passionate about culturally responsive teaching, as well as responding to and engaging with our students in ways to draw on their unique skills and gifts to co-create a music space for all learners.
