Karl Peterson has a BS Degree from BYU, teaching Degree from Simon Fraser, and Masters of Leadership from Gonzaga. He is the chair of the Alberta Colony Educators Special Interest Group of the ESLC Specialist Council of the ATA. He is also the principal of 19 Hutterite schools in the Westwind School Division in southern Alberta. Karl was born and raised in Fort St. John, BC, and has taught and been an administrator grades K-12. He has presented at provincial and regional workshops and conferences on topics related to Hutterite history and teaching on colonies. As the chair of the ACE SIG, he is primarily focused on supporting professional development for all colony teachers in Alberta. Karl and his family currently live in Magrath, Alberta.
