Myths and Misconceptions in Science

The idea that scientific theories are less certain than laws is a common misconception about science. Or that you need a force to keep something moving. Or that global warming is the result of a hole in the ozone layer. Misconceptions are common, pervasive and exist for many different reasons. In this session Kerry and Ian will provide examples of common misconceptions as well as provide techniques to help students along the road to scientific understanding.
