This workshop is designed to help teachers understand basic components of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Participants will learn about complex communication needs, the purpose of AAC, ideal candidates, strategies to support and build language, and where to access resources. Our schools are seeing more students with complex communication needs and teachers need to understand their unique needs. Every student deserves a voice and an opportunity to learn!
