Critical thinking and inquiry are central goals in the Alberta K-12 curriculum. But how can teachers actually implement them in their curriculum and pedagogy? This presentation by the authors of a leading critical thinking text, Reason in the Balance, will explain their inquiry-based approach to critical thinking and provide concrete examples of how to infuse it into the curriculum. Participating in this session will be Jen Scott, an Alberta secondary teacher, who uses the approach to infuse critical thinking into her science classes.
